Our
Story
The Chapman Family
What started out helping the Greiner family with their sheep chores has grown into an interest and love of sheep.
Erik, used to help with daily chores at the Greiner Club Lamb farm as a middle schooler. The school bus would drop him off at the Greiner farm after school. He would help with the daily sheep chores from feeding and watering to showing sheep county and state fairs through the 4H and FFA. This became a whole Chapman family tradition with all of the Chapman kids showing sheep throughout school for the Greiner family.
Once graduating from Iowa State University, Erik had a desire to start raising sheep on his own. He started out small with getting just a few ewes older ewes. This has now grown to the 20+ flock that we maintain today.
Throughout our careers, we have been involved in the biotech industry and have a passion for genetics and science. This is something that has come in handy during breeding season. We match our ewes to the best ram that will compliment their strengths as well as improve their weaknesses.
We get better with each generation.
